International Institute for Advanced Studies (Panel) https://www.iias.or.jp/en

Outline
Since its founding in 1984, the International Institute for Advanced Studies (IIAS) has been working under the fundamental philosophy to “conduct research what should be researched for the future and happiness of mankind”. With the aim of realizing a sustainable society, we practice to identify what are the fundamental issues facing mankind, and to explore and present the direction of solutions to these issues. In addition to research aimed at contributing to the development of the science city area, we also conduct a variety of exchange programs in cooperation not only with academia but also with industry, local municipalities, and residents, contributing to the realization of a safe, secure, and prosperous society.

We will introduce “Independent Research,” which has a research foundation of Beyond Boundaries, a characteristic of the Institute for International Advanced Studies, and “Open Research,” which is interdisciplinary and addresses fundamental questions that have the potential to open up new academic fields in the future. We will also introduce various exchange events such as “Keihanna Edison no Kai,” “Keihanna Philosophy Café Goethe no Kai,” and “IIAS Academic Camp Junior Seminar,” which provide opportunities to communicate and return the intellectual resources of our Institute to society and to meet with lecturers and participants, which will lead to awareness and learning.
Research reports and event leaflets will be available. Please stop by and visit us.
